July 8, 2009 Joan, I am soooo glad I met you. You are indeed an inspiration to me. I am trying to follow your example and you have me huffing and puffing to keep up... but I love it.:-))) We are on the cutting edge for OUR jazz because most of our fellow traditionalists are not hip to the cyber-power at our fingertips. I just loaded 14 originals of mine on ReverbNation. These are synthesized versions where I am playing all the parts. I made these tracks between 1989 and 1991. beautiful..tks for sharin'..your spirit writings. ya child joan..ya child that made it thru it all and is still gigglin' having fun..thats what i heard in your voice in that video..that child! untouched..you made it thru untouched! you said 'you are gonna live in mansions!' an i thought; damnit i am!~ i run like the friggin road runner from those whose little child in them has died .i run from those saying; 'better be careful; dont do that dont do this' thats why i loved interviewing dr. michio kaku..!! his child exudes through his voice..he is having the time of his life creating new worlds on mars...discovering black holes..you heard him...!! he is busy taking elevator rides to other planets while most 'peeps' have forgotten they can create new worlds too!

I found your autobiography to be fascinating and engrossing with
an impressive photo collection of musicians who have touched your life. I am so proud of you for what you've done with your life since we
first met 3 decades ago. I especially admire your discipline in
doing the hard work that has resulted in publishing an important resource
book--specifically, your process of becoming the consummate
singer/entertainer that you are--generally, it's a value as a guide for
how aspiring singers can survive and succeed in the music business.

Received your package 2 days ago and have already read a good
portion of your book (I learned to speed read years ago). Had no idea that it is an autobiography! Many adjectives of praise
come to mind but suffice to say, it is fascinating and should
count for your Ph.D. Job well done!!

I've seen Ms. Cartwright
perform on many occasions. Her performance will blow you away.

Wow! There is so much knowledge being
given in this book. It reminds me of a music textbook. I'm finding it
very informative and it's nice to have a lot of the pictures that I did not
get from our trips.
